lol! lol at that snippet!
My ten year old sister is the same way when I'm writing. She'll just come into my room and start discussing completely arbitrary things out of boredom. I'm like, "Savina, nooo! Leave me in peace!" Then I have to try and salvage the mood I was working on.

The Descent, 3 chapters complete (though rough); 20,000 words. Chapter 4; 1,700 words.
No snippets from 4 since they give a bit too much away. Not that I haven't been doing that the entire time.

My family has a habit of interrupting me when I'm writing those kind of scenes - especially my nephews. I'm in the middle of a really angsty, emotional moment, and my nephew just sits there pointing out all the colours of my belongings. Amusing but also rather detrimental to my poor muse. I know the feel, especially over this past Thanksgiving when all the relatives swarmed over while I was trying to write an update. I love my relatives all right, but they can start bugging you right in the middle of a supremely angsty scene. XD In other news, I am only two chapters away from pulling the ULTIMATE plot twist (and, in fact, the single reason I starting writing my monstrously long fic to begin with). I am literally trembling in anticipation of writing the final sentence of the chapter after this next one and revealing the twist. It will be so, so sweet and marvelous.

You write too fast, Lady Avatar! I am going to get behind in your story again, lol. Ahahahaha - and by "write too fast," you mean I do a very excellent job of ignoring all of my homework and anything else resembling responsibilities in my life.

The Descent, chapter 4. 4,000 words. . . . wow. That was actually pretty intense and chilling and very well crafted.

How am I a curse? You just need to write less! Lol. Although I'm very excited to read all these.
I have no progres. I'm supposed to be doing work right now. Shh!

Instead of doing anything productive today, I finished my next chapter ("I Hold With Those Who Favor Fire: 1") and sent it off for beta-reading. This in itself is not very exciting, but OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG the next chapter is one of my personal favorites in the entire saga because of the epicness of the twist at the end!!! XD

At the insistence and encouragement of ladyavatar and one of my close friends, I've decided to go ahead with my Avatar: The Last Airbender/Disney's The Beauty and the Beast crossover. It will definitely be mutli-chaptered, and I already have the final draft of the Prologue, the first draft of the first chapter, and several flashbacks (for reference) written.
The prologue was the easiest part which is weird because that folky tell-not-show style is actually really hard for me to write most of the time. I guess because I knew that if nothing else had the proper feel of the Disney's tBatB version, the prologue had to maintain that vibe. Otherwise, it just wouldn't be a proper crossover.
Anyway, I've outlined the three major events I want to happen in this. I just have to figure out how to connect them all properly, how to properly develop the characters, and how to make sure it doesn't suck. =D
I do know this is going to be darker than both the show and the movie, but I still haven't worked out quite how much darker. I also haven't decided if there should be smut... Perhaps I'll write two versions that are almost identical but one has smut and one doesn't so that everyone can be appeased. XD
Anyway, here's an excerpt from the draft of the first chapter:
No, this is not going to be some craptastic 50 Shades of Grey bullshit. That paragraph is totally out of context, so it sort of looks like she's been abused, but... well... I guess you guys will just have to wait.

XD I needed to hear some good news after suffering through a Zutara month update from one of my favorite writers (the writing was MAGNIFICENT as always, but the theme this time was Ozai's execution T___T). Anyway, that aside, when do you think you'll put out the first chapter (and on what medium - Tumblr, FFN, etc.)? I am beyond excited. Seriously. ^This did not, at all, help ease my anticipation. Now I just want to see the first chapter even more. Wonderful job with this little teaser!
