Okay. I use this term since I was in Year Three or Four. But I had no idea what Gay actually was until Year Seven. This is unfortunate because I know it's offensive now so I try to refrain from using it. Unfortunately for me, however, I've become so accustomed to it that always just slips out. *facepalm*

Well I don't use it I don't think it's particularly right and may be offensive to some so I prefer to stay in neutral territory about that

I try to avoid using it and the 'retarded' one as well since I have a LOT of non-straight (various sexualities) friends and I've worked with special needs kids. I admit I use the second occasionally out of habit but I don't use the first at all.
