I don't think I have a favorite genre. If the music is good, I'll listen to it. That being said, I do enjoy softer music. I listen to some oldies such as The Beatles, Elton John, Frank Sinatra, Frankie Valli and The 4 Seasons, Dexy's Midnight Runners, ect ect. I literally cannot name all of them now, that would be too much. Concerning more current music, I listen to Marina and the Diamonds, Ed Sheeran, Florence and the Machine, A Fine Frenzy, Mumford and Sons, sometimes A Day to Remember, Monsters and Men, some Taylor Swift, Ellie Goulding, Coldplay, Youtube covers of popular songs, and a lot more I can't name right now. I am also a big Musical Theater geek so I listen to a lot of musical theater songs.
I also revisit my elementary years by jamming to High School Musical sometimes. Shhhhhh
So yeah (: I'm positive I'm missing so much but that's a good enough sample haha

Well I was raised kind of out in the country I was exposed to country music for 9 years so I like it....
I think the only genre I don't enjoy as a whole is metal, but that's just my general preference. x)
I think my favorite bands are the Gorillaz , Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay and Matchbox Twenty. My favorite song is "I'll Be," Edwin McCain.
Other bands/artists that I like: Daughtry, Maroon 5, Miranda Lambert, The Killers, Carrie Underwood, LL Cool J, Mumford & Sons, Florence + the Machine, Walk Off the Earth, Lupe Fiasco, Foster the People, Deadmau5, Imogen Heap, uhh I'm missing a few...Green Day, Celtic Woman, Vamp, Vinni, Zac Brown Band, tobyMac, The Script, etc
Composers: Austin Wintory, Murray Gold, E.S Posthumus

I also have a deep love for 'trailer music'. Two Steps From Hell, Audiomachine, City of the Fallen, Immediate, etc - they all rock my socks. Could listen to them all day if it didn't fill me with unfortunate urges to forget all about my work and focus on creative writing. Yes, yes, 1000x yes, trailer music is the bomb. So cool

Yes, yes, 1000x yes, trailer music is the bomb. So cool I'm so happy they've started putting out more albums for the public. I almost cried with joy when I heard TSFH had put out a new album. Same here. I'm so..... emotional

My tastes are eclectic. It depends on my mood, but I can never go wrong with classic jazz, big band, and classic rock.
I also enjoy trailer instrumental music (especially when I write), like Two Steps From Hell, E.S. Posthumus, Secret Garden, and almost anything composed by John Murphy, Clint Mansell, Hans Zimmer, and Nobuo Uematsu's (One-Winged Angel FTW!). ^_^

Holy crap! This is amazing. I'm such a sucker for violin. Such a humongous sucker. And when violin and piano are together... match made in heaven. This song is perfection. It's beautiful but also very intriguing. It tells a story, but I have no idea what that story is. So mysterious.

This one is very serene on the surface, but there's an undercurrent of conflict, or strife. The chiming high notes make me think of snow, but near the end the feeling becomes briefly murky, like a swamp, before coming to a kind of head. It feels like some kind of clash or confrontation would be taking place, but a resolution is never reached, leaving you guessing.
I don't know, this music is making me feel things.

That's a very powerful love, if that's the case. I'm imagining it as I listen to the music again. I get the image of the pain of being apart and the deep longing to see the other person again. I wish I could paint it, but I don't think a picture would ever truly do it justice. Music is such a strange thing. Idek.

Maybe I'll try to paint it at some point. I haven't used actual paint in... I don't know how long. I don't think I can do it, but I'll try.
I just read Shield while listening to this. Amazing. I can see why you picked it.
