Umm this list could go on for a while so I should probably stop now. I don't think I left anything too major out?

Final Fantasy VII forever and always. There's just so much to do and explore in that game, I never get bored. And Sephiroth's theme = win.
Nobody's mentioned Persona 3 yet. Also a great game.
Zelda is about as full of amazing as a franchise can be, although I have to admit that I wasn't really a fan of the DS titles. I play the other handhelds - Oracle of Ages/Seasons, Link's Awakening, The Minish Cap, the GBA adaption of A Link to the Past - annually. Ocarina of Time will always be the ultimate title though.
Have any of you ever played either of the Four Swords installments? They're crazy fun if you have enough people.

Omg, Zelda and FF fans! You all are awesome! I have to admit, I'm not much of a gamer (just don't have the time), and my progress through the FF games has been so slow. I have yet to finish a single FF game (though I'm 60-80% through several of them) - YES I KNOW I SUCK As far as the Zelda series, I'm a total newcomer. I've played a little of the Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, but that's it. But I still love what I've seen so far - the characters, the story, the music, asdlfhalsdfadsfkhjk Also, I must mention one of my absolute favorite games ever - Okami. Anybody else a fan? If you've never tried it, I HIGHLY recommend it! Everything about this game is fantastic. It's seriously one of the most beautiful games I've ever come across, and the music just blows my mind. Not to mention it has an incredibly awesome and endearing cast of characters, creative gameplay, and a fantastic adventure/plot/story.

I have no idea what Okami is. Maybe it never came to New Zealand, or maybe it came out while I was in hermit mode. Again, it is entirely possible. What console is it for? Or is it PC? I don't play PC games, so I never know anything about those. I played it on PS2 but I know it's available for the Wii as well. Gonna post an IGN video review: www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVf2rMILU0M

Also, I must mention one of my absolute favorite games ever - Okami. Anybody else a fan? YESYESYESYESTHIS Played it thrice over and got all the beads. DAMN they were a pain, especially that last one D8 S'one of my all-time favourites. I still haven't finished FFVII even though I really like it. Have yet to beat Sephiroth so I was going after the Emerald weapon. ...Then I got distracted and forgot about it because it was getting on my nerves.. Anyway. Others. Sonic (mostly classic) Pokemon (most of them) Zelda: Windwaker Paper Mario: TYD (F-ING LOVE IT) Psychonauts Portal 1&2 Mario Galaxy 2 I'm sure there's more. It'll come to me eventually.

I haven't played Okami yet, but I have a friend who sings its praises to the moon and back.
Jacks: You should really finish FF7, the final battle is a breeze if you have omnislash. Sephiroth's big attack, Super Nova, is the most wonderfully horrible move ever. It takes like three years for him to execute it. Seriously, you can get up and make mac and cheese, watch a movie, learn to tango and have a falling out with your mom over the phone before he's finished. And he uses that move multiple times during the battle. It's terrific.
I'm playing Skyward Sword right now, and I'm helping my 10 year old sister beat the Wind Waker. I think I'm going to make her play OoT at some point too, just because that has to happen.

I think among a lot of people it's a love it or hate it sort of game, at least that's what I've gathered from those who have played it. Skyward Sword was amazing, I'm glad you're playing it I haven't played the Wind Waker yet, although that's on my list after all my college stuff gets done x)
