I think Bolin and Asami have a lot of potential too. Why, oh why didn't they write Bolin getting hit by her moped?!
But you're right. They might not write swapping couples, even though in real life that happens a lot. I know so many people who date friends and siblings, lol. I think if Bolin and Asami were to be endgame, it would be after they both date other people first, then end of falling for eachother. I don't think it would happen till way later, like two books later.

Yeah, and spare the pairs doesn't often work out well, but I think Bosami as endgame would be really sweet AFTER they become friends and after they have dated other people. I'd really like to see them develop a platonic friendship first, be there for each other, cause neither have shown an interest in each other physically even though they're both gorgeous!

Agreed. Bosami could work but it would take time, so that it doesn't come off as pairing the spares. I mean to me they actually make a far better pairing than Korra/Bolin or Asami/Mako ever did. Can you imagine how fabulous they'd be? Mako always striked me as someone who wouldn't want attention, to be shown off, or dine at fancy restaurants all the time. Bolin on the other hand, I can imagine loving that life style. Asami would brag about him after matches, and he'd love it. They remind me of a hollywood couple, whereas Mako and Korra are more like a super hero couple. [And by hollywood I don't mean scandals or anything lol]

Exactly. Just the way he handled that, and how he loved his screaming fans, I just think he'd fit right into that world. I got kind of annoyed when there was outrage that Mako joined the police and Bolin didn't. Um, hello. Bolin loves probending. Mako is more about dishing out justice. It makes perfect sense for them to go in those directions. [Instinct tells me Iroh and Asami might be endgame though. Just a feeling.] I think that would have been a better love triangle. I think love triangles work better when it's the secondary characters, too. Mako and Korra have tons of obstacles without needing to throw one in. Their personalities are obstacles enough.

I hope this Bolin/new love interest goes well! I don't like love triangles either, and I was always more Borra that I was Makorra. I'm a guilty Tahnorra shipper, I more just enjoy it than I legitimately expect it to happen. I don't like love triangles either; I don't know why Bryke was so heavy handed with them this time around. Hopefully they lighten up on that next season

I'm a guilty Tahnorra shipper, I more just enjoy it than I legitimately expect it to happen. ^Honestly, after every single episode I kept coming up with some new theory of how Tahno could come back in the next episode. When the finale ended and STILL no Tahno, I at least convinced myself he has to come back in season two because Korra has to return his bending. And THEN Tahnorra will happen, right? Right?!

lol Tahnorra is like my crack OTP...(Sadly, there's hardly any chance of it happening though....)
And Tahno NEEDS to reappear in Season 2. And Old ZUtara needs to appear too. I don't care if it's not romance but friendshipping would be nice....

@ boogum:
Yep, and they said his love interest is a "bizarre" situation. So that's why I've been thinking it's a spirit in human form. Very bizarre, and fits into the spirit theme of book two.
I don't mind triangles when they take place over time. Like, I don't like one girl bouncing between two guys in one book. But I don't mind the way Richelle Mead did it in Vampire Academy. The main girl basically dates one of them for three books, then they can't be together for reasons I can't say. She moves on and eventually dates another guy who is aware of her past feelings. So it's not all at once, and the whole triangle takes place between like 5 books. It felt more realistic to me.
Lmao Tahno. I think he's going to be like Haru. Just popping up a few episodes. I don't foresee him being a main or even secondary character. Maybe in book two if he's in the tournement again.

I wonder if Pabu is going to get a love interest? Both Appa and Momo were out of luck in that department.
Maybe we'll get a Pabu love triangle!

Maybe in book two if he's in the tournement again. *Panic* OMG, you most perfect human being! I didn't even think of that possibility!!! He's DEFINITELY going to be in the tournament - that's how they're going to make Tahno return! I can already imagine the scene. XD ^A taste of what happened after EVERY. SINGLE. LoK. EPISODE.
